Just expect it to behave a little choppy in some playback scenarios. But understand that it is still entirely possible to download, install and run the latest MC onto your Yosemite machine. (So in general it is getting less and less safe to use both Yosemite and El Capitan on the internet. Side note: The reason why Yosemite has fallen off of the approval list is due to high-end performance needs of professional editors, plus Apple has ended support for it. You'll first need to make sure all previous versions of MC|First and Media Composer (if any) are deactivated and uninstalled. The evaluation versions available on the website are of course too advanced for my laptops so I was wondering what closest versions I could get easily considering my old systems.Īlso, is the lastest version of Avid much different from the 7.0.4 one ? :)) Especially in terms of color grading tools ?Īny inputs would be very very appreciated !Īs far as Yosemite is concerned, here is a direct download link for MC v8.9.2. As I haven't been using Avid Media Comp for the past 4 years (I am used to the 7.0.4 version :), this would be to train myself a little for an upcoming editing job (+ color grading) in a company using the latest version of Avid. I need to get for a few days the latest version possible of Avid Media Comp on my home laptops which are a Mac OS 10.10.5 Yosemite and a Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6.
